Tate McRae was in Toronto last night at Budweiser Stage as part of her “Think Later” world tour. Toronto was about the mid-way point in her tour, with around 18 more shows to go as she spreads her talent across the globe. There’s nothing like some homegrown Canadian talent, with Tate being born and raised in Calgary, and it’s good to see more and more people finding out about the star that she is. Tate came out and performed to an absolutely sold-out Budweiser Stage of over 16,000 fans all there to see her perform.
She started off the night with “Think Later” and moved on with hits like “Uh Oh”, “Stay Done”, “Exes”, “She’s All I Wanna Be”, and “You Broke Me First”. Towards the end of the concert we all heard her, but didn’t see her up on stage, only to realize she was just a few feet away from us in the crowd for a special crowd performance of “Grave”.
She had a moment in the show where she was thanking everyone for coming out and just expressing how surreal it was that just last September she was performing to an audience of 2,000 people, and last night she basically had 8 times the audience. She even shed a few tears, which was good to see that throughout her rise to superstardom she’s still down to Earth, and appreciating her fans and the journey she’s on. In a world where so much is fake, it’s amazing to see someone be real. Tate has great vocals, she’s obviously pretty, and she’s a fantastic dancer, and she showcased all of that last night. If you missed this one make sure you catch her the next time she comes to Toronto, you won’t want to miss out, and based on the way she’s moving I can only assume the next performance is going to be to 20k+ people!
