Sting made his way to Toronto on Tuesday September 5th, at Budweiser Stage as part of his “My Songs” tour. I’ve been a huge Sting fan forever so it was a real treat watching him live for the first time. He performed all the top hits: “Roxanne”, “Fragile”, “Shape of My Heart”, “Desert Rose”, etc. For being over 70 years old, Sting’s voice is still incredible and his stage energy hasn’t faded one bit.

His opener for the night was his son, Joe Sumner, who got the crowd pumped up with his own songs ahead of Sting. If you close your eyes and listen, Joe’s voice is very similar to Sting’s, which probably makes a whole lot of sense when you’re his son, and you’ve been influenced by his music.

It felt like 40 degrees at Budweiser Stage with the humidity, but you always get that nice lakeside breeze throughout which is definitely one of the great benefits of the venue.

Check out the pics below + make sure you see Sting when he’s back in Toronto again, you don’t want to miss out!
