Toronto’s Exhibition Place roared with excitement this past weekend as the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy took center stage, delivering high-speed thrills and spectacular racing action. The annual event, a staple in the city’s summer calendar, brought together racing enthusiasts, families, and adrenaline junkies for an unforgettable experience.
This was not only just our first year covering the event, but also our first time at a motorsports event. Being huge fans of Formula 1, and the Indy Car series, it’s honestly incredible to see the speed that these drivers are driving, how they hit the corners perfectly getting just what looks like millimetres away from the wall. If you’re a motorsports fan, attending an Indy Car event is an absolute must, so if you missed out this year make sure you attend next year!
A significant highlight of the event was the extensive fan engagement. The paddock area was bustling with activity, and fans had the opportunity to meet their favourite drivers during autograph sessions and behind-the-scenes tours. Interactive displays and racing simulators allowed fans to immerse themselves in the world of motorsport, creating a truly engaging experience.
The weekend catered to all ages, with activities and entertainment options that ensured everyone had a great time! Being able to walk around the grounds and into the paddock and see all the different teams as they work on their cars, and get themselves ready for each race is truly a treat to see as well.
